About: Ms. Vanja Lazaridis is Project Manager at the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Mission in North Macedonia, where she leads the portfolio on Migration, Environment and Climate Change (MECC). She coordinates IOM’s engagement in national climate action processes, including the integration of human mobility into North Macedonia’s National Adaptation Plan (NAP), and manages the innovative Green Finance Facility (GFF), which mobilizes remittances and diaspora capital for renewable energy, energy efficiency, and climate-resilient investments by migrant and returnee households.
Since joining IOM, Ms. Lazaridis has managed a wide range of initiatives, from emergency protection and crisis response during the refugee and migrant crisis, to early recovery and disaster preparedness. Building on her extensive experience in post-conflict and emergency programming, she now applies a resilience and systems-thinking approach to linking migration, climate change, and green transition policies in North Macedonia.
Born in Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia, Ms. Lazaridis holds a Degree in Law.
