About: Mr. Ntlamelle was appointed by SADC Secretariat as the Senior Programme Officer- Energy in December 2014 to coordinate SADC energy programmes and projects to ensure availability of reliable, integrated and least cost energy infrastructure and services in the SADC region. He is also responsible for providing policy guidance to the regional and subsidiary Energy Organisations, SAPP, RERA, SACREEE and KGRTC. He was involved in the formulation and development of regional energy strategic documents such as REEESAP 2016, REASAP 2020, Regional Gas Master Plan 2023-2038. He also contributed to formulation of continental programme PIDA as well as strategic documents such as AfSEM and CMP. He is currently working with the international organisations including UNECA, UNEP and SEforALL on development of a framework on Just Energy Transition harmonisation of standards on cleaner fuels for SADC region and energy access modalities. In addition, he is working with SAPP to operationalise RETRADE programme and RTIFF facility for regional projects. Prior to joining SADC Secretariat, Mr. Ntlamelle worked for the Department of Energy, Lesotho from July 1997 to November 2014 where he was responsible for formulation of energy policy as well as preparation of proposals and appraisals for development of energy programmes and projects in Lesotho.
