The Stone Bridge (Kameni Most) is one of the most iconic landmarks in Skopje. Built in the 6th century during the reign of Byzantine Emperor Justinian, it originally served as a key connection between the old and new parts of the city. The bridge spans the Vardar River, offering picturesque views of the surrounding landscape, including the bustling cityscape and scenic mountains. Although it has undergone several renovations over the centuries, the bridge remains a testament to Skopje’s long history. Today, it not only connects the two halves of the city but is also an integral part of the Skopje skyline, pro- viding a perfect spot for both locals and visitors to admire the river and the city’s history.
